Abstract

The dialectic between largely white, aging baby boomers and a younger, far more ethnically diverse Global America (to use Prey's phrasing) will likely constitute the nation's central political drama during the first half of the twenty-first century. (Whether the quickening pace of technological change will lead to an increase in age discrimination is a shoe that doesn't drop here.) Future research on aging baby boomers should be multidisciplinary and recognize the many complexities and subgroups among this vast generation.
