Environmental governance and social transformation in Colombia

Abstract

Based on a socio-legal analysis, the article examines the incidence of factors such as the economic model, post-conflict, extractivism, and armed violence in environmental conflicts. It is concluded that tools such as governance, in a framework of social change and participatory democracy, can be an alternative for solving the complexities of environmental management.
