Abstract

Working conditions are essential for ensuring that workers function properly in the working environment. Such conditions embody not only the requirements that need to be met to help reduce risks and mitigate untoward factors. A key feature of working conditions is safety, frequently described as the absence of unacceptable risks associated with damage and losses. Safety management requires a number of measures affecting all aspects of worker functioning in an organization. This article highlights the aspects that underpin the effective performance of tasks by employees. Requirements were identified on the basis of social responsibility guidelines applying to occupational health and safety conditions viewed as essential work practices. Feasible measures were examined by means of the affinity diagram. This allowed to assign actions to the areas that characterize the tasks undertaken within the corporate social responsibility, important to ensure the development of an efficient working environment.
