FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PERILAKU PEMILIH DALAM KEMENANGAN KOTAK KOSONG PADA PEMILIHAN WALIKOTA MAKASSAR 2018

Abstract

. The presence of an empty box becomes the opponent of a single pair in the mayoral election 2018 is due to the disqualification of the incumbent candidate who is considered to have committed a violation in the post-conflict local election stages reported by the team of the challenger, in this case, Appi-Cicu as the candidate pair who participated in the election of the mayor and deputy mayor Makassar. The type of research is a mixed- method. In data collection, this research was carried out directly to the field by distributing questionnaires to respondents who were in the research location and directly interviewing informants. Furthermore, data from respondents are processed by using an index scale formula, and then it is analyzed and concluded. The purpose of this research is to know the winning of empty boxes against single candidates. The results showed that the winning of the empty box in Makassar mayoral election 2018 was due to the distrust of the people who as voters for a single candidate that was considered a newcomer. As a form of intelligence of the people of Makassar City in a democracy that is considered capable of reducing the occurrence of money politics. Then, the evidence of public saturation with political parties that only carry one pair of candidates so that it is considered unable to present a candidate as a representative when it is only one pair of candidates. Then there was the battle between the intelligence power of the people of Makassar City as voters against the political oligarchy.
