Abstract
Sun is the source of energy that is inexhaustible, renewable, and plentiful in nature. This energy can be used for the generation of electricity. Therefore, we require solar photovoltaic process to convert energy into electricity by using solar modules. Due to some obstacles including sudden change in weather, shadowing, etc., solar module does not receive standard irradiance. Shadowing on the module enormously affects the performance of solar module in generating power. In this paper, we have reviewed many papers which show that the effect of partial shading can be reduced by using bypass diode. Thus, power can be enhanced by the use of bypass diode and improved power can be attained.
