Abstract
Various limitations of present telephone equipment and/or systems are pointed out. The DNC Family transcends these limitations, utilizing a consistent architectural approach with standard interfaces, to realize the next generation of operations systems. By taking a global view of network operations, the DNC Family offers a planned approach to the evolution of network operations and introduces a cost-effective, advanced level of network control by interfacing the embedded operations features of new digital network equipment. The objective of DNC is to enable the operations of telecommunications networks to evolve gracefully toward increasing levels of automation and integration.
