Abstract

This study examines how social media reshapes social and cultural reality in the digital age. Results show that digital platforms enhance cross-border communication, broaden knowledge networks, and create wider spaces for self-expression and public participation, reinforcing values of openness and community engagement. However, statistics reveal rising value-based challenges, including privacy risks, misinformation, and the erosion of certain traditional norms within a rapidly shifting digital environment. The study concludes that social culture is undergoing a dual transformation: expanding individual horizons and enabling new forms of interaction, while also generating value challenges that require regulatory, cultural, and educational measures to maintain balance and preserve core societal authenticity.
