Abstract

Summary for only given. The paper provides a general information for our recent survey on technological innovation of Chinese enterprises. The objectives of this survey are described. First we intend to collect the basic data and important information of technological innovation activities for Chinese enterprises in manufacturing industries, especially for hi-tech enterprises. The second approach tends to explore the issues existing in the commercialization process for Chinese enterprises. The third approach examines how the government technology policies affect the innovation behaviors of our enterprises and what should be the government's policy orientations in order to improve technological innovation in China. Fourth purpose is to analyze the entrepreneurs perspectives on technological innovation for Chinese enterprises under current situation. It is attempted to reveal how the innovation behaviors of the entrepreneur can be stimulated. In focusing on the technological innovation situations of Chinese enterprises during the transition to a market economy, two kinds of questionnaires were designed for analyzing the basic characteristics of technological innovation for Chinese enterprises. One questionnaire is for enterprise, in which most of surveyed contents are quantitative. The other is designed for entrepreneurs, in which most of the surveyed contents are qualitative. This paper presents main investigation contents in some details. The methodology and implementation process for this survey are also explained.
