Abstract

This is a demo of a virtual academic adviser that enables student selfguidance and counters the unavailability of true academic advisers. The adviser integrates four visual tools: flexible and personalized planning of future terms and courses, body of knowledge acquisition mapping tool for easier finding of courses that are aligned to personal interests in terms of the acquired knowledge and abilities, and study program switch exploration tool to ease student mobility.
