Abstract

Efforts to implement procedures for patients with the risk of falling are important things that must be done by hospital staff, especially nurses in an effort to ensure patient safety (patient safety) while in the hospital, for this reason there is a need for an assessment related to the influence of the level of knowledge of nurses with the prevention of patient risk of falling. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses and the implementation of procedures for patients who are at risk of falling at Dustira Hospital, West Java which was determined by purposive sampling. This research is quantitative using descriptive correlation method. The results showed that there was no significant relationship (p value> 0.05) between the level of knowledge of nurses and the implementation of the procedure for patients with risk of falling. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses and the implementation of the procedure for falling patients at Dustira Hospital, West Java. The suggestion that can be given is that the implementation of the patient's fall risk procedure must always be improved and become a routine activity for nurses in conducting assessments to patients in the hospital ward
