Abstract

The context of recent changes in the regulation of work in domestic services in Brazil caused the development of a research focusing on the daily lives of domestic workers. Here we presented the life history of a domestic worker, nominated Fernanda. His history was collected by three interviews, using two graphic productions: Socio-professional Trajectory and oolorful Agenda. The analysis, inspired by the Meaning oore, enabled the creation of three: social trajectory, daily life and work and senses atributed to domestic work. In the analyzed trajectory, we highlight the persistence of gender inequalities, generation and class. Fernanda history was permeated by ambivalent emotions that shows how the life of this woman worker with low income and educational level, the occupation as a domestic worker stands as the only possibility, just as other women, including his family.
