Abstract

Human-AI collaborative mentoring holds great potential to enhance interns' cyclical experiential learning in dynamic workplace environments. This study extends experiential learning theory by integrating key mentoring strategies, thereby establishing Mentoring-Enabled Experiential Learning Theory (MEELT). Building on MEELT, a theoretical framework is proposed to support interns' nuanced five-stage learning process and to foster effective workplace learning outcomes. Furthermore, the framework incorporates the moderating roles of cognitive resources and openness to experience. The study concludes by outlining key theoretical and practical implications and proposing an important agenda for future research.
