An efficient synthesis of pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine derivatives under microwave irradiation

Abstract

A series of pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of aminopyrazole with chalcones in the presence of ZnCl2 under microwave irradiation. The reaction was completed in 8-12 min with 85-95% yields. © ARKAT.
