Abstract

Since the detailed bathymetric charts for the N.Pacific of Chase et al (1970) were first published enough new bathymetric data have been collected in the area of the Emperor Seamounts to warrant revision of the bathymetry of this unique volcanic feature. We present a consistent set of formally approved names for the Emperor Seamounts. An explanation of the name used on the new bathymetric chart enclosed with this volume is given.- from Authors
