Abstract

The growing emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities underscores the urgent need for organizations to align profitability with sustainability and ethical stewardship. This review develops a conceptual framework for embedding ESG considerations into sustainable corporate operations, highlighting the interplay between strategic management, stakeholder engagement, and performance measurement. It explores how ESG integration enhances long-term competitiveness through resource efficiency, innovation, and transparency in governance. The framework identifies critical drivers—including regulatory compliance, investor expectations, and societal demands—that shape corporate ESG adoption. By synthesizing insights from sustainability reporting, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and green management literature, the paper outlines a multidimensional model that positions ESG as a strategic enabler rather than a compliance exercise. The model emphasizes cross-functional integration, continuous performance monitoring, and data-driven decision-making to achieve environmental stewardship, social equity, and governance accountability. The study concludes that integrating ESG principles fosters resilience, risk mitigation, and sustainable value creation, making it an indispensable element of corporate strategy in an era of climate change and stakeholder capitalism. Future research should focus on quantifying ESG impacts through standardized metrics and exploring digital transformation as a catalyst for ESG-based innovation.
