A valedictory for Expert Systems print edition

Abstract

As a valedictory for the print edition of Expert Systems, we have commissioned a brief survey of expert systems applications from 1989 to 2012 from Mehmet Resit Tolun, Professor of Computer Engineering at TED University, Turkey, and Seda Sahin, a PhD student at Baskent University, Ankara, Turkey. The main requirement of the invitation was brevity - an article suitable for a valedictory editorial.
