Abstract
Bécquer Granados, E. R.: Tetrazygia decorticans (Miconieae, Melastomataceae), a new species from Cuba [Novitiae florae cubensis 24]. Tetrazygia decorticans from central Cuba, a species new to science, is described and illustrated. Its position in Tetrazygia is discussed. The species is easily distinguished from other Cuban melastomes by its reddish bark that peels off in long laminar shreds.
