Abstract

The article presents the conversation with Assistant Professor of French and Film & Media at the University of California, Berkeley Damon R. Young about the representations of and narratives about sex proliferated on French and American movie screens such as forms of sexuality not limited to heterosexual relations between loving couples, new liberal understandings of individual freedom and social responsibility, and his book ''Making Sex Public''.
