Abstract
The article examines the impact of the economic recession on diversity and inclusion in sport related to swimming, diving and synchronized swimming. It cites the author's agreement with Richard Lapchick's call for a legislation that can facilitate social change and opportunity for colored people and women into coaching and administrative roles in intercollegiate sport. It suggests a need for more diversity and inclusion other than race and gender and points out that football and men's basketball are not the only sports affected by the downturn.
