Abstract

Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) is evolving as an emerging technology to meet many demands in real-time applications. In this connection, vehicular nodes have a real-time communication with one another and also with a roadside infrastructure to provide enormous applications varying from safe travel to assistance while driving on the roads and Internet access during travel. Maximum issues of concern regarding Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) are also concerned as VANETs. In this paper, we have described the hidden terminal problem in vehicle nodes with the help of NS-2 tool. We have also analyzed the vehicular communication performance for limited communication range and during communication, throughput increases between different vehicle nodes in VANET system with help of NetSim tool.
