Abstract

Suggests that A. Neuringer's (see record 1991-29148-001) hypothesis that behavioral scientists would be more effective if they were more humble is testable. Some indices of scientific effectiveness are proposed. It is concluded that the optimal posture for behaviorists is humility blended with assertiveness.
