This paper tries to estimate the association between hours of work of female workers and household poverty in the cottage industry. Simultaneously, it also measures the market and non-market activities of these workers. It is observed that an increase in income increases leisure and reduces work in the market. Furthermore, the effects of workers, family, and social characteristics on female labour supply are also investigated.
