Abstract

There seems to be no immediate prospect of limiting the increasing mortality and morbidity from road traffic accidents. Therefore, the changes that are occurring in both the nature and the severity of road accidents should be kept under review by public health authorities, and attention should be directed increasingly towards the problem of accident prevention.
