Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Akademik pada SMPN 1 Wolowaru Berbasis Web

Abstract

Sistem informasi akademik adalah suatu sistem yang memberikan layanan informasi berupa data dengan pemanfaatan teknologi komputer. Sekolah yang bermutu memerlukan kemampuan dalam mengikuti perkembangan teknologi dan kemampuan mengakses serta menyajikan informasi sehingga dapat dipertanggung jawabkan dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. SMPN 1 Wolowaru adalah salah satu instansi pendidikan yang beralamat di Jl. Melati Wolowaru. Permasalahan yang ditemukan ialah pengelolaan data guru, data mapel, data kelas, jadwal pelajaran, data siswa, absensi dan nilai siswa masih menggunakan sistem manual dan Microsoft Excel sehingga pengelolaan data-data tersebut bisa membutuh waktu lama, rentan terjadi kesalahan, kurang efektif dan efisien serta kurang transparan. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah membuat aplikasi SIAKAD berbasis web pada SMPN 1 Wolowaru sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas pengelolaan data yaitu otomatisasi proses, akurasi data, akses data cepat. Mempermudah akses informasi yaitu informasi terpusat dan transparansi. Perancangan dan pembuatan sistem menggunakan Metode Waterfall, bahasa pemograman PHP dan Database MySQL. Sistem Informasi Akademik Berbasis Web ini memudahkan pengguna yaitu tata usaha sebagai admin dan guru pada SMPN 1 Wolowaru dalam mengelola data akademik dengan akurat, cepat, tranparan, efektif dan efisien.   Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Akademik, SMPN 1 Wolowaru, Waterfall, PHP, Database MySQL.An academic information system is a system that provides information services in the form of data using computer technology. Quality schools require the ability to keep up with technological developments and to access and present information so they can be held accountable for improving the quality of education. SMPN 1 Wolowaru is one of the educational institutions located on Jl. Melati Wolowaru. The problems found are that the management of teacher data, Maple data, class data, lesson schedules, student data, attendance and student scores still uses the manual system and Microsoft Excel, so that the management of these data can take a long time, is prone to errors, is less effective and efficient and less transparent. The goal to be achieved is to create a web-based SIAKAD application at SMPN 1 Wolowaru so that it provides convenience for school admins, namely fast, ease in correcting mistakes and even avoiding mistakes in managing teacher data, maple data, student data, class data, lesson schedule data, as well as convenience for teachers in managing attendance recapitulation data and student scores quickly. Ease in correcting mistakes, producing attendance and value recapitulation reports that are easily accessible, neat and transparent. The design and creation of the system uses the Waterfall Method, the PHP programming language and MySQL Database. This Web-Based Academic Information System makes it easier for users, namely the administration (admins) and teachers at SMPN 1 Wolowaru, to manage academic data accurately, quickly, transparently, effectively, and efficiently.
