Abstract

The integration of digital media museology has far-reaching implications for the role of the museum and for how the discursive act of explosition functions through the medium of the exhibition. Techniques of visual display reveal how meaning is constructed in the contemporary museum as a result of the fundamental interdependence between art object, gallery space and museological processes.
