Abstract

Multicomponent bands are observed in the Raman spectra of solutions in liquid ammonia of salts of all multiatomic anions except CIO4- and BF4-. The positions and the variations of relative intensities of these component bands with changing cation, concentration, and temperature indicate that a range of discrete ion paired species coexist in equilibria. © 1981 IUPAC
