Abstract

The purpose was to analyze the concept of human dignity from the Colombian case and how this is one of the foundations of modern democracy. Emphasis is placed on two essential guarantees of dignity: the principle of equality and the prohibition of non-discrimination. The methodology used is descriptive-analytical doctrine and jurisprudence with emphasis on the Colombian context. It is concluded that there cannot be a Democratic State that does not sustain itself in Human Dignity.
