Abstract

Philosophical problems are usually existential. Which are decisive because they question reality. Labor exploitation has an existential nature because it affects our way of life. Therefore, it touches the most sensitive fibers of philosophy. In that sense, the purpose of this article is to approach the aforementioned topic through philosophical analysis. Our reflection focuses on the 21st century. For this purpose, we analyze five concepts from current philosophers regarding the precariousness of work activity. Likewise, we enter into dialogue with some contributions from political economy. One of the conclusions drawn by this research establishes that labor exploitation is made invisible and normalized by the current conception of work, supported by market ethics, the same one that conceives human production outside the subject. Which has as a consequence the degradation of the subject to an object for work, subordinating it to capital.
