Abstract
The paper describes a clinical case of schwannoma, one of the rarest nonepithelial tumors of the stomach. Comprehensive preop-erative examination could assume the nonepithelial and benign pattern of the tumor. Its pathomorphological verification is made difficult by the similarity of schwannomas with gastrointestinal stromal tumors. Immunohistochemical examinations play a leading role in differential diagnosis.
