Abstract

In article number 2003197, Jaephil Cho and co‐workers provide the history and recent advances of important doping research on layered‐structured cathode materials of Li‐ion batteries, summarizing conventional atomic substitution at Li‐ and Co‐sites and recent Li‐rich, Ni‐rich, and Co‐rich materials. Furthermore, future possibilities for advanced doping research, namely via methodological approaches, are suggested alongside relevant experimental demonstrations.
