Oromandibular dystonia: A clinical report

Abstract

Oromandibular dystonia (OMD) consists of prolonged spasms caused by contraction of the muscles of the mouth and mandible and involves the muscles of mastication, facial expression, tongue, and eye lids. A multidisciplinary treatment approach is presented including the fabrication of a dental prosthesis to reduce/eliminate the symptoms of OMD.
