Abstract
The paper presents the results of a research project, subsidised by the Andalusia Government, analysing teachers' competencies to recognise indicators of inequality between men and women in education. For this purpose, we carried out a descriptive survey study, applying an assessment scale. 324 teachers from Andalucía participated in the study. The results show that teachers have more difficulties to recognise indicators related to gender equality policies and non-sexist language. In addition, male teachers showed fewer competencies for recognising inequality indicators than female teachers. © 2011 Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje, ISSN: 1135-6405.
