Abstract
The goal of the paper is to popularise the application of biosensors in biotechnology and ecology. The place of biosensors in biotechnologic processes is determined. The examples of the most often measuring concentrations of substrate in biotechnology and pollution of waters, air and soil are given. © 2001 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
