Abstract

Flowering of pineapples in response to low temperature was temporarily inhibited by 0.3 % maleic hydrazide when the plants were treated about 20 days before flowering. Later treatment did not affect time of flowering or maturation but caused gummosis, distortion of the fruit and suppression of crown growth
