Clima social escolar: Percepción del estudiante

Abstract

In 147 teenagers belonging to 3rd, 4th and 5th degrees of elementary education (Basic School), in order to know their percepción of school enviroment; a survey was carried out. An instrument with sociodemographic data, school, influences, and family support to their learning processes was applied to the students. The most interesting findings show that 84.4% of teenagers are pleased in their institutions. Furthermore 97.9% of them like their studies. They are also satisfied with support, teaching and understanding of their teachers; nevertheless, they would like that order and cleanly were somewhere changed, as well as drug using and/or an unadequate behavior among several peers and some teachers. Practically all of them (93.8%) understand their professors. Significant relationships, p < 0.05, were observed among student's satisfaction, school, and degrees achievied; academic output and companion dependence; academic production and teachers understanding of homeworks ordered. © 2000 Corporación Editora Médica del Valle.
