Abstract

Social responsibility is considered as a key success factor for business. Transforming thus into a central component in the strategies assumed by the organizations; in its constant search for sustainable development. That is why, this research aims to design a battery of proposals for improvements to the industrial sector of non-metallic minerals on the banks of the Ñuble River (Chile). For which theguidelines of the quantitative methodology have been used due to the supply of a self-application instrument. It should be noted that it is important that future research can use instruments that are created and validated in Chile that respond to the national context. Finally, there is a weak development of actions in the dimension related to competitiveness and relationship with stakeholders.
