The goal of Medical Engineering (ME) studying is to train engineers who will be able to provide technological solutions to problems encountered in different medical environments. The ME bachelor degree at Afeka – Tel-Aviv Academic College of Engineering adopted the spiral approach that is based upon an iterative revisiting of topics, subjects or themes throughout the course. Levels of difficulty and sophistication are increased, new learning is related to previous learning, and the students' competency is enhanced. The experience of using this approach shows that it leads to a systemic perspective and it also provides the graduates tools to deal with real industrial world challenges.
