Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem was habitat of various fishes. One of them were mudskippers species, which is a filter feeder in the waters. The aims of research was to analysis correlation between composition and abundance of mudskipper with organic materials. Data analysis used data abundance and correlation. The results of the study, that the types of mudskipper founded were Boleophthalmus boddarti, Periophthalmus takita, Boleophthalmus pectinirostis and Scartelaos histophorus. At station I the highest abundance of species is Boleophthalmus pectinirostis is a number of to 0.9, while in station II the highest abundance of species is Scartelaos histoporus and Periophthalmus takita a number of 1,1. Correlatioan between abundance with the content of organic material shows a positive, meaning the value of high organic matter will be accompanied by an increase in the value of abundance of mudskipper in the aquatic
