El ocaso del sujeto (la crisis de la identidad moderna: Kleist, Nietzsche, Musil)

Abstract

En este articulo se defienden tres tesis. La primera podría formularse diciendo que lo verdaderamente característico de la modernidad tardía, del "final de trayecto" en el que vivimos, no es tanto la muerte de Dios cuanto la crisis del hombre, de lo humano. La segunda sería que esta crisis del hombre (o del sujeto) hunde sus raíces en el romanticismo alemán y resurge en la filosofía de Nietzsche, alcanzando su apogeo en la Viena de principios del siglo XX. La tercera diría: no es posible pensar la educación sin alguna idea de sujeto, pero tampoco se puede pensar el sujeto al margen de la crisis de la modernidad, de su ocaso moderno.This paper defends three theses that could be formulated as follows: (1) Much more than the death of God, the utmost feature of late modernity, of this "end of journey" we are living, is the crisis of man, of the human. (2) Although this crisis of man (or of the subject) saw its roots collapse during German Romanticism, it revived in Nietzsche's philosophy to reach its apogee in the early XXth century Viena. (3) One cannot think education without any idea of what a subject is, nor think this subject on the fringes of the crisis of modernity, of its modern twilight.
