Abstract
In this paper, we investigate Bianchi type III and Kantowski-Sachs cosmological models in the presence of domain walls in the framework of the modified f (R, T ) theory of gravitation, where R is the Ricci scalar curvature and T the trace of the stress energy-momentum tensor. A functional form f (R, T ) = R + 2μT , with μ being a constant, is chosen for derivation and analysis of the field equations of f (R, T ) gravity. In view of the accelerated expansion of the present universe, the dynamical and physical behavior of the models has been discussed. The models presented are tested for physically acceptable cosmologies by using stability. It is observed that the acceleration of the universe is due to gravitation. The investigated models are anisotropic and free from singularity. It is also found that the curved walls are responsible for the gravitational collapse.
