Abstract

This study examines the involvement of European countries in strategic alliances and the impact this involvement has on their national healthcare quality. The strategic alliances are categorized based on geographical differences: inter-country, cross-Europe and crossworld. Results show no significant influence of inter-country, cross-Europe nor crossworld alliances on healthcare quality. Thus, policy makers should focus on other forms of collaboration.
