New and lesser known species of african fruit chafers (coleoptera scarabaeidae cetoniinae)

Abstract

Two new subgenera [Anoplocheilus (Diplognathoides) n. subgen., Anoplocheilus (Nselenius) n. subgen.], four new species [A. (N.) silvicola n. sp., Ichnestoma struempheri n. sp., Trichostetha hawequas n. sp., T. potbergensis n. sp.] and one new subspecies (Raceloma jansoni stobbiai n. subsp.) are described. Ichnestoma coetzeri (Allard 1988) is confirmed as a separate species and the genus Jothochilus Kolbe 1982 is synonymized with Tephraea Burmeister 1842. The females of Rhabdotis albonotata (Moser 1904) and Ichnestoma perstriata Holm 1992 are described for the first time.
