Abstract
Conducted a study aimed at constructing and validating a scale on attitudes towards 4 aspects of romantic love: romanticism, romantic power, romantic love linked to marriage, and ideal romantic love. Human Ss: 182 normal male and female Japanese adults (undergraduate students). Subscales were constructed based on the results of factor analysis. Scale validity was confirmed by sex and sex-role type differences, subscale similarity, and various aspects of the romantic love experience and courtship. (English abstract)
