Abstract

The simulation /estimation of cylinder temperature for power stroke of internal combustion engine along with liner temperature from gas side is pertinent/significant/essential to investigate the thermal distortion of a liner at different points along its longitudinal direction from coolant side. The present research/study includes estimation/finding of approximate temperature of in cylinder gases during power stroke and thereby liner temperature from gas side using water, and ethylene glycol as a coolant for present diesel engine. The present study includes numerical simulations based on Inbuilt ICE Combustion model in ANSYS 15.0 version where dynamic/time transient.
