Abstract
Supply chains with dynamic and innovative capabilities have become the primary means to address risks and uncertainties. This study proposes a comprehensive framework to investigate the impact of supply chain dynamic capabilities on supply chain innovation, with value co-creation as the mediating variable and digital transformation as the moderating variable. We measure the four primary variables (supply chain innovation, supply chain dynamic capabilities, value co-creation, and digital transformation) using constructs from the literature and design questionnaires to collect data from 618 manufacturing companies in China for empirical analysis. The results show that supply chain dynamic capabilities formed by sensing, seizing, and reconfiguration capabilities among supply chain organizations positively affect value co-creation. Value co-creation has a positive effect on supply chain innovation and serves as a mediating factor in the association between supply chain dynamic capabilities and supply chain innovation. Digital transformation plays a positive regulatory role in the structural relationships among supply chain dynamic capabilities, value co-creation, and supply chain innovation. This study develops a supply chain innovation research framework, expands theoretical research on value co-creation in the supply chain, and offers a new perspective and practical evidence for supply chain innovation research.
