Abstract

Natural infestation of fruits of Garcinia acuminata Planch. & Triana and Garcinia brasiliensis C. Martius (Malpighiales: Clusiaceae) by Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) (Diptera: Tephritidae) is reported for the first time in the state of Par', Brazil. Garcinia acuminata is reported as a fruit fly host for the first time in Brazil.
