Abstract

This paper is to discuss about how to implement the automatic strabismus examination system. By using the shutter glasses that can control the cover state electrically, cover-uncover test and alternate-cover test are performed according to the flowchart. Test is started by capturing the infrared video images acquired by camcorder. And we can measure the deviation of the eye from the difference of the pupil center and the corneal reflex point. By following the flowchart, type of strabismus could be determined. Developed device showed good results comparable to conventional coveruncover test and alternate cover test.
