Abstract

Road accidents have been a major concern for every countries all over the world. According to the report submitted by WHO 3400 people die on roads every day and millions of people are getting injured or disabled every year. In India itself 1214 (according to the report by NCBI) people met in road accidents every day in which 377 people die, 20 of them are children below the age of 14 years. More than half of all road traffic deaths occur among young adults aged 15–44. These alarming rate of deaths call for immediate attention and finding a way to reduce this high rate of death toll on the world road. Keeping all these in our mind we propose to develop a safety system in a form of a “smart-car” which deduces the safety of the driver based on his past driving patterns or driving habits. The Driving patterns could be tracked by taking the vehicle GPS coordinates and usage in general. would be recorded, passing these features into Regression Analysis would help us in predicting a possible accident.
