Abstract

Urban roads and their facilities are fundamental for the social, economic and sustainable development of cities, helping the means of transport and urban mobility, which is why they must be functional and provide quality and safety to users. The objective of the present work is to identify the aspects of the infrastructure that impact on the quality of the service of public urban transport, inserting, in this context, the inspection of pathological manifestations on asphalt pavements, as well as the quality of bus stops with regard to the requirements of users. Therefore, a bibliographic review was carried out on the proposed theme and a thorough investigation in the field, in the main roads located in the city of Juiz de Fora (MG), in order to obtain the particularities of bus stops and access roads. in the 8 main regions of the city, namely: north, northwest, central, west, east, south, northeast and southeast. It was found, in the study carried out, the need to emphasize the relevance of maintenance and conservation services of pavements and bus stops in order to guarantee the quality and safety of users, improving the urban mobility of the municipality and, consequently, contributing to the consolidation of the concept of sustainable city.
