Abstract

The results of the study show that: 1) The income of traders after being relocated experienced a change in income where out of 30 traders who had been interviewed, 27 traders experienced a decrease while 3 traders experienced an increase in income. 2) There are five factors that influence trader income, namely: new market location factors, new market facilities and infrastructure factors, consumer behavior factors, trader factors, and government/market manager policy and support factors. 3) So far, the relocation of the Kampung Lalang market has significantly affected the sustainability of traders' businesses through its impact on income. If relocation is carried out without careful planning, adequate socialization, and strong post-relocation support from the government or management, then the relocation tends to be a factor inhibiting business sustainability due to the drastic decrease in income.
